What is RiddimBox And A Mic?

RiddimBox And A Mic is the name of my one man soundsystem I created back in 2018. I came up with the idea as a way to perform my sets solo and not necessarily have to rely upon working with a dj/selector that I hadn't previously rehearsed with. It would also give me more control over the tracks as well. The setup is basically my MPC Live (aka the RiddimBox) and my mini mixer and microphone. I can perform live over the track sequences in the live and perform edits and extend parts right on the fly. I can also play and perform over bounced instrumentals as well.

The early version of this setup started back in 2014. Back then I would run tracks from a portable CD player into the mixer and still chat over that with the mic. Was a bit limiting, but we all gotta start somewhere.
